Key Responsibilties
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that assure the integrity of all financial systems, processes and data
  • Improves shareholder value by active management of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Delivers accurate and timely financial reports, including but not limited to, monthly financial statements, quarterly forecasts, YE closing and budgets for upcoming fiscal years.
  • Prepares balance statements showing the company’s income and payables as well as profit and loss statements.
  • Prepares accurate monthly reporting package for Bleistahl Holding in Germany.
  • Prepares month-end and year-end close considering US-GAAP requirements and in accordance with accounting and valuation guidelines of Bleistahl Group.
  • Assures all BLNA’s tax obligations are actively managed and properly executed
  • Validate and plan Company Insurance including but not limited to: Data exchange with insurance carriers, selection of carriers and coverage, submitting company’s payments and forms in a timely manner.
  • Leads annual financial audits as scheduled and facilitate follow up as required
  • Responsible for the completion of purchase orders, issuing and coding invoices.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
  • Manages all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application in cooperation with the sales team, as well as quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports.
  • Maintains accounting ledger systems.
  • Maintain, issue, and balance petty cash.
  • Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a wide variety of special reports.
  • Supports cost improvement activities for engineering and manufacturing team
  • Support the Sales team in establish product costing and pricing during acquisition and customer price negotiations
  • Set-up of and maintain ERP system to enable access to cost data, and ability to analyze variances.
  • Process Owner of accounting, finance, purchasing and IT procedures guiding the applicable team members in compliance and improvement of our IMS and OS.
  • Leading all regional Purchasing activities including supplier selection and setup, ongoing supplier management, supplier introduction, negotiation, continuous improvement of pricing and services.
  • Leading all regional IT and OT systems and processes for BLNA including ERP system, all SW-Licensing and data management onsite and offsite), Network infrastructure, communication tools and processes and data security measure
  • Acting as the compliance officer for the region including setting up compliance oversight processes and assure proper training, concern investigation, concern evaluation and concern resolution.
  • Serves as Secretary to the regional Board of Directors including facilitation of board meetings, records keeping and response to external parties in alignment with the regional management
  • Supports the regional management team in the selection of legal counsel as needs might arise and maintains company’s interface to counsel during projects the company might initiate or being exposed to.
  • Manage the Accounting, IT/OT and the purchasing organization of BLNA including all personnel assigned to these activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • Competent using office computer software (especially MS Excell, MS PowerPoint and MS office in general).
  • Competent in using and improving ERP Systems in general (QAD knowledge preferred)
  • Proven accounting skills in previous experience, including but not limited to processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and methodical when with record keeping and reporting of information. Good attention to detail.
  • Honest and discreet when handling confidential financial information.
  • Self-motivated and work well in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Enjoy problem solving.
  • Understands and has an affinity to international accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulation of financial accounts being administered, including the statutory form of financial statements and disclosure requirements.
