CAD/Fab Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD/Fab Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prototyping electronics, fabricating models, and 3D printing, coupled with at least three years of hands-on experience. Though a specialized degree in the field is not required, proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting is essential.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping mechanical systems and hardware
  • Building PCB and electronic component assemblies
  • Fabricating projects using 3D printing/additive manufacturing technologies
  • Utilizing CAD software to create and modify designs
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Managing inventory and maintaining lab equipment


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 overall years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting (specific software not required)
  • Strong skills in prototyping electronics and fabricating models
  • Experience working in a data center environment


Must have skills

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with 3D printing and prototyping

(building models, prototyping and fabricating models etc.)

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with CAD Software

(computer-aided design and drafting) - Ex: SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Creo

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with a basic understanding of coding (Linux, etc.)
