Job Title: Hardware Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Lab Technician to support the testing and development of computer-related equipment for datacenter applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute tests on datacenter computer and power hardware.
  • Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
  • Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of Lab Technician experience.
  • 5-7 years of Hardware/Datacenter experience.
  • 5-7 years of assembling hardware and soldering hardware.
  • Lab equipment proficiency - know how to use all power lab equipment with minimal to no supervision including oscilloscopes, DMMs, DC loads, AC sources, logic probes, power analyzers, and serial analyzers.
  • Background in either power and/or embedded systems with experience debugging hardware and firmware.
  • Familiar with serial protocols including I2C, UART, and SPI.
