Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Lighting Sales Director - High Schools, ISD’s, Community Colleges with a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in the high school market. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly skilled in prospecting for new leads, managing the sales funnel, and closing deals. This role will focus on selling our LED sports lighting solutions to high schools and other educational entities, building long-term relationships with school districts, athletic directors, and facility managers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the high school market, including outreach to school districts, athletic directors, and facility managers.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Effectively manage and track all stages of the sales process, from initial contact through closing, using Hubspot to maintain an organized and efficient pipeline.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in schools, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our LED lighting products, including technical specifications, benefits, and competitive advantages, to effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with clients, addressing objections, and ensuring a smooth closing process to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales materials, and with the operations team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technology: Able to identify and learn new technological tools (Ie: AI) to help in the sales process.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the lighting, sports, or education industry or related fields. Experience selling to high schools or educational institutions is a plus.
  • Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently, set goals, and achieve them without constant supervision.
  • Sales Skills: Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on performance.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
