Responsibilities:

  • It will support activities to ensure compliance with indirect tax filing and reporting requirements, including but not limited to analyzing, reviewing, and filing required returns and tracking associated due dates and payments
  • Facilitate the preparation and reconciliation of sales and use tax returns with an outside compliance partner monthly, and ensure that related files and support documents are maintained, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Aid in the filing of property tax returns and all supporting work papers.
  • Submit required monthly, quarterly, and annual tax payments.
  • Maintain and update, when required, customer sales tax exemption forms.
  • Research, track, and resolve any issues or notices from outside taxing jurisdictions to resolve any discrepancies between internal tax reporting and jurisdictions.
  • Support ongoing projects and business initiatives and assist with special projects as requested.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of prior public accounting experience or direct industry experience in property tax, abandoned & unclaimed property, and/or sales tax
