Executive Assistant, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Provide general, clerical coordination to support office operations. Report to the Director of Operations and serve as a member of the administrative staff team in supporting the needs of the department's students, faculty, and strategic initiatives. Assist the Department Chair with routine tasks, communication, and special projects. Assist with scheduling meetings, arranging business travel, and supporting agenda management and expense tracking. Review and answer correspondence, as well as screen callers and visitors, which may include confidential matters. Act as a liaison with School of Engineering stakeholders, assisting in relationship building and project coordination with various constituents and leadership offices. Understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed. Maintain electronic files and produce reports. Provide administrative support for special projects. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
This position will remain open until filled This is a Non-Exempt l evel, benefited position. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas. Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree or related experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience: At least three years of experience supporting a senior executive.
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
