Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our Global Urban Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) within AECOM’s Buildings + Places business line. This individual will work collaboratively with core team members of the Urban Analytics COE as well as other AECOM teams to deliver quality products and solutions to our clients around the world. This can be a hybrid or remote position, with the expectation of working collaboratively with the team by utilizing Microsoft Teams or other virtual communication platforms.

Principle Accountabilities are limited but not include:
  • Lead and support building web-based applications, dashboards, and APIs
  • Present and demonstrate products to internal and external clients
  • Collect business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Work in a collaborative fast-paced environment
  • Work closely with project team, and collaborate on project scope and delivery
  • Provide guidance to junior developers
  • Optimize code for speed and scalability

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related subjects
  • Proven ability to build successful web-based applications
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, other developers, managers, and clients (internal and external)
  • Dedication in delivering high-quality products in a timely manner
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • 5-8 years of work experience in relevant fields
  • Experience with building web-based applications or APIs at scale
  • Experience building highly responsive websites
  • Experience with frameworks (i.e. NodeJS, Django, or R-shiny)
  • Experience with React or Vue is a plus
  • Experience with web testing
  • Experience with server or cloud hosting
  • Experience with production level software architecture and design
  • Strong communication skills
