Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Lyons Magnus. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will provide administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient operation of our corporate Human Resources and Safety departments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to Human Resources and Safety departments, including recruiting, benefits administration, timekeeping, training, and compliance.
- Maintain the HRIS database and ensure timely updates.
- Assist in the preparation of zero-hours reports and timecard audits.
- Serve as the point of contact for the human resources department, responding to emails and incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping, including physical personnel files and HRIS database changes.
- Respond to employee relations correspondence, such as EDD claims and employee and employment verifications.
- Promote a fun and engaging employee environment by planning and coordinating employee recognition events.
- Provide backup coverage to the front desk and perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
- Consistently adhere to established standards to ensure confidentiality and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Consistently follow established safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Attend and actively participate in required huddles, meetings, and trainings.
- Maintain a professional appearance to promote a positive image of the organization.
- Support the mission, values, and vision of the company.
- Maintain the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost.
- Work with employees of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship.
- Must be able to exhibit discretion while working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Familiar with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Understanding, interpreting, and applying rules, regulations, policies, laws, and ordinances.
- Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- MS Office Suite, databases, filing systems, and records management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and discretion.
- Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Use good judgment and integrity.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
- High school or equivalent. Completion of two (2) years of college preferred.
- One to two years of experience in human resources preferred.
