Introduction

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a professional, dedicated individual for a full-time HR Special Program Assistant position located in the Administrative-Technical Services Division. 

Job Summary

Duties include but are not limited to:
* Coordinates scheduling of physical examinations for all applicants to Department positions
* Administers the Agencys Occupational Health Program; facilitates occupational health physicals; and completes gas mask fit testing for covered employees.
Serves as liaison between Department and outside contracted services such as for medical exams or background checks; checks to assure invoices for services are correct.
Executes a successful promotional process for the rankings of Sergeant and First Lieutenant for both Correctional deputies and Operational deputies; organizes focus groups to create assessment components; and arranges for assessors to attend promotional processes and evaluate candidates.
* Runs reports and generates monthly statistics for management review.
Demonstrates compliance with County, Department, and Division policies and procedures, federal/state laws, and regulations as applicable to position.
* Represents Department at internal and external meetings and conferences.
Ensures sworn personnel schedule required physical examinations.
Manages and maintains line of duty death information for Agency personnel.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel information.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience. 

Minimum Qualifications

High school or equivalent; three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a human resources support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with PowerDMS preferred. 

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application; in-person interview(s), and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal background check, credit check, driving record, and polygraph examination.
