Job Duties

- Under the general supervision of the Clerk of Court, the primary responsibilities of this position will include providing technical support to court staff and public users, troubleshooting problems with software and hardware, and acting as the court liaison between state and county IT departments to resolve open work tickets. This is a non-supervisory position with the authority to administer user access controls. This position assists with and assumes responsibility over special projects assigned by the Clerk of Court in areas involving IT, such as training on existing and new technology initiatives, projects relating to the digital court record, and maintenance of the court's website. This includes collaborating with outside agencies to improve the court's performance, quality compliance, and efficiency of operations. May perform other related work as assigned by management.

This is a full time, in person, position with working hours from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. May be required to work during non-traditional business hours on occasion.

The position offers a competitive benefits package, which includes vacation and sick leave, 12 paid holidays, health insurance, retirement, life insurance, deferred compensation and short- and long-term disability.

All employees receive a 15% county salary supplement in addition to the state salary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities -The IT Support and Project Specialist will assist the court with technical support such as installing new computer equipment and troubleshooting software and hardware problems in the clerk' office, courtrooms, and public access terminals. Will be responsible for submitting appropriate work tickets and coordinating with state and county IT departments through resolution of the issues.

This position maintains the court's website with current policies and docketing procedures as well as evolving information such as emergency/inclement weather closures. Monitors the court's public email account and facilitates requests for remote hearings. Assists with connectivity issues in the courtroom surrounding Webex and Polycom as well as any other audio/visual function necessary in the courtroom. Establish and maintain on-going user instructions for audio visual equipment in all courtrooms and front counter. Oversees all aspects of Avaya telephone system including agent ID's and maintenance of court's phone routing system and public informational messages.

The employee will serve as the designated FOIA officer and will fulfill copy/court record requests submitted in writing to the court. At the direction of the Clerk of Court, the IT and Project Specialist will oversee compliance with the electronic court record to include reviewing the open case report and ensuring cases are updated in a timely manner thus reflecting accurately in court case information. Will oversee any court

project involving the digital court record. Will serve as the Expungement manager and will also oversee all appeals sent to circuit court for compliance and quality control.

Will assist with onboarding new employees with software access and ensure all court users are aware of state and county security policies as well as the proper use of PC's, passwords, and internet usage. Will provide training on case management systems, case imaging, and facilitating new technology releases. This position also assists division supervisors with general court-related projects and development of audio/visual training materials. Act as a liaison with eAccess to secure credentials for GDC Elite user roles and assist in biannual eAccess audit. Complete tasks required for departing staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education, experience, certification, and/or training equivalent to the following: graduation from an accredited two-year college with an associate's degree in IT or related field (degree preferred, not required) and/or two years of related professional work experience in such areas as business, court, or public administration. Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to perform personal computer and network troubleshooting, both on software and hardware. Proficiency in the latest Microsoft Windows operating systems and PC applications, such as Adobe Acrobat, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team.

• 2 years or more of customer service experience
• Prior employment with a state court or agency
• Experience with SharePoint
• Large office experience
• IT inventory management experience
• IT project management experience
• Website management using a Content Management System (CMS)
