Project Managers oversee a project, serving as the primary client contact for the project, and are responsible for the project's success. They have significant project experience, and are able to operate independently, with little supervision. They supervise project staff, and typically lead teams over whom they exercise no formal supervision.

The University of Virginia seeks applicants for an IT Contract and Licensing Administrator to join Information Technology Services (ITS). We are seeking a strategic thinker with practical experience to fill this critical role. What you will do:
Negotiate, manage, and oversee all IT contracts and software licenses.
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including software license agreements.
Maintain accurate electronic records of all IT contracts and licenses.
Manage contract and license renewals in a timely manner.
Collaborate with ITS departments to ensure contracts and licenses meet organizational needs.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Stay updated with IT contract and licensing laws and regulations.
Collaborate with legal and finance departments to ensure contracts are legally sound and financially beneficial.
Resolve any issues or disputes related to contracts and licenses.
Provide regular reports to the Senior Director.
Provide training and guidance to other team members on contract negotiations and management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Law, or related field and four (4) years of related professional experience. An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience in IT contract and license management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contracts.
Excellent understanding of IT contract and licensing laws and regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in contract management software and relevant IT tools.
