The Role: 


We are looking for a Project Manager to work on the Secure by Design programme within the Home Office.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Working with the SbD Programme lead and Change Manager in developing and implementing project management activities in the implementation of SbD
  • Identify and communicate with key stakeholders across the HOCS, HO and ALBs in relation to managing SbD outputs as a project manager
  • Facilitate project development through the whole lifecycle, experienced in project design, planning, collaboration and co-ordination with multifaceted teams incl delivery of results within set criteria.
  • Skilled in tracking progress, summarising results, and communicating with management, customers, and other stakeholders across the HO representing HOCS and SbD.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution in a Cyber Security context
  • Conduct risk analysis to reduce unforeseen obstacles and initiate mitigations accordingly
  • Create detailed schedule, project parameters, and key criteria expectations in line with the SbD approach and directorate PMO
  • Conduct periodic scope, schedule, and output reviews using industry best practices, to identify needed adjustments and alignments
  • Manage customer and other stakeholder expectations to maintain productive and engaged relationships
  • Provide summarised project plan documentation to the SbD Programme lead, implementation team, HOCS PMO, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Collaborate with and lead external departmental teams to deliver results on schedule and within risk limits


Requirements:


  • Experience in cross-departmental coordination and team building


Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in a Cyber Security environment
  • Experience and knowledge of Secure by Design
  • Understanding of the NCSC Cyber Assurance Framework (CAF)
  • Understanding of the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and mapping to CAF
