Senior IT/Desktop Support Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced support engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users and maintain the smooth operations of the desktop environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware, software and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop systems including hardware failures, software malfunctions and connectivity problems. Install, configure and upgrade desktop systems and software applications. Assist end-users with technical issues by providing clear and effective instructions. Conduct training sessions for users on desktop applications and best practices. Perform routine maintenance tasks including system updates, patches and security enhancements. Create and maintain documentations for desktop procedures, troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles. Communicate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.

Requirements:

Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Ideally at least 3 years of relevant experience in IT/desktop support roles preferably in the banking or financial industry. Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and common business applications. Familiarity with banking software and systems would be an added advantage. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
