They are a prominent player in the North and South Carolina Residential and Commercial construction industry, committed to delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations. With a rich history and a strong presence in the market, they are expanding their operations in the Charlotte Division and are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join them as the Business Unit Lead.


They already have thriving HQs in Raleigh, Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston.


Position Overview:

As the Business Unit Lead for their Charlotte Division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of their operations in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction market, specifically in wood frame residential projects, and demonstrate a proven track record in estimating, business development, and project management.


Responsibilities:


Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Charlotte Division, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Business Development:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Cultivate and leverage an established network of industry connections to identify new business opportunities.

Estimating Oversight:

  • Oversee and participate in the estimation process for wood frame residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Ensure accurate and competitive bids that align with project requirements and financial goals.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful execution of wood frame residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, taking proactive measures to address any challenges.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and seek opportunities for repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, or a related field is ideal.
  • Proven experience in wood frame residential construction, with a strong background in estimating and project management.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, with a well-established network in the North Carolina construction market.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven with a focus on delivering quality projects on time and within budget.
