Responsibilities



Responsible for planning, developing, and conducting training specifically focused on radiation protection and control activities. The Instructional Design process is consistent with the Systematic Approach to Training and the ADDIE Model. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Providing leadership for the training development process and the delivery of training. Providing internal consulting services to the functional units to design and develop their training programs. Serving as a SME for specific compliance requirements. Serving as a formal reviewer of training documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Developing criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Preparing and deploying self-assessment activities for assigned areas and supports internal/external audits for assigned programs. Staying abreast of federal, state and local regulations for impacts and requirements on training programs. Evaluating and/or overseeing contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. Providing remedial training and evaluation when appropriate.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA and 7 years of relevant experience -OR- MS/MA or higher and 5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Radiation Protection/Control Technician experience Certified as a classroom and/or On-the-Job (OJT) training instructor Familiarity with DOE laboratory operations
Hazardous Working Conditions/Environment

Entry into facility radiological areas.
