Summary Statement
This is the Regional Administrator for Division of Family Services in Sussex County. The Regional Administrator has responsibility for investigation, treatment, and permanency units which are located at multiple sites throughout Sussex County.
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.
Manages and directs the activities and functions of a multifaceted social services program; Monitors service delivery and implements organizational changes necessary to achieve goals and objectives. Develops and/or revises operating plans and procedures in accordance with overall departmental/divisional goals and objectives. Oversees the implementation of same. Ensure policies and procedures provide for effective delivery of services. Plans, assigns, reviews and evaluates the work of supervisory staff responsible for effective delivery of services. Participates as a member of senior management staff in examining statewide needs and issues. Works closely with program development managers in the development, implementation and monitoring of new and/or revised service programs or delivery methods. Works with other state, community or private social service providers to ensure quality services to clients. Oversees support functions such as building maintenance, vehicle maintenance and supplies and equipment necessary for effective operations.
