Job Title: Rail Operations Chief

King County Metro Transit's Rail Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Operations Chief to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of light rail transit services and the day-to-day coordination, direction, and supervision of personnel and equipment of the Link Control Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of rail operations professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of light rail services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve rail operations, including process improvements and personnel development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rail services with other transportation modes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, and promote a safety culture within the team.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure effective delivery of rail services.
Requirements:
  • Current LCC Qualification.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in rail operations or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
