JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Engineering and Drafting to generate Bill of Materials and Routings for product line
  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products
  • Work with Engineering and Product Development to create or maintain and revise product BOM's, Work Definitions (Routings), and Labor Standards as necessary
  • Perform labor and material studies to ensure accurate BOM's, Work Definitions, and Labor Standards as necessary
  • Monitor products/process to ensure accurate BOM's, Work Definitions, and Labor Standards
  • Prepare status, cost analysis, and performance reports from the ERP system as required by Management
  • Maintain files in an organized manner
  • Wear appropriate PPE when in required areas
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Thorough knowledge of product, manufacturing processes, and principals
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning, quality control, and costing principals
  • Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or control; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities are required in this job, e.g., close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Travel less than 10%


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering field
  • 1-3 years of Engineering Experience
  • 1-3 years experience in process workflow; Formal training in Bill of Materials / Routing creation may be substituted for experience
  • Experience in ERP systems. Omega/Oracle ERP system preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user
  • Strong skills/ability to utilize Excel to analyze and summarize data
  • Basic ability to use AutoCAD
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Strong math and writing skills
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operations
