Padagis LLC has an opening for a Buyer in our Procurement Team located in Minneapolis. This position reports into the Procurement Manager and will be responsible for the procurement of raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). This role is critical to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials needed to meet production schedules and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position is eligible for a hybrid workplace model with a required minimum of two (2) working days per week on site at the Minneapolis facility in New Hope.

Job duties:

  • Manage internal and external customer service level requirements, strategic inventory levels, supplier metrics and process improvement plans
  • Investigate, develop and drive actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicate updates to internal stakeholders
  • Lead procurement work stream and act as supplier liaison in quality problem resolution. Identify, evaluate, recommend and implement quality improvements along with corrective actions
  • Support cost management of pricing, invoice investigation and resolution, logistics supply chain process, contractual obligations.
  • Identify, develop and implement savings projects and reporting to include pipeline development, project execution, and financial validation. Engage supplier organization and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones and action plans.
  • Ensure assigned spend is fully documented, categorized, and reproducible in the procurement system(s)
  • Work with supply planning, plant network, or other appropriate functions to develop forecasts, Learns S&OP process
    Implement procurement systems and process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with the business to address questions & needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three or more (3+) years of related professional experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with MRP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts.
  • Experience in contract negotiation.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related FDA regulated facility.
