Position Title: Information Technology (IT) Associate

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 months (40 Hours a Week).
(The Associate Program is 3 months. At the conclusion of the Program, candidates will be considered for a full-time position).

Start date: Monday, September 16, 2024

Compensation: $25/hour and healthcare benefits.

Agilian is a full-service strategy, technology, and change management boutique consulting firm. We are dedicated to closing inequitable healthcare gaps for marginalized populations by supporting the Medicaid health equity ecosystem through consulting and technology implementation. This ecosystem comprises state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and beneficiaries. Our Associate Program offers a unique opportunity for socially driven individuals to gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and contribute to meaningful results within the health equity ecosystem.

Position Overview:

The mission for this role is to:

  • Support cloud data warehouse reporting and analytics and other projects at Agilian.
  • Suggest and contribute to company and project initiatives.
  • Support Agilian's consulting business in the Medicaid health equity ecosystem.

During your time with us, you'll sharpen your IT and consulting skills and be considered for a full-time consultant position upon completion of the Program. As an Agilian Associate, you'll gain the ability to understand the goals and challenges of our clients and our proven methodology to get our clients from the current state to their envisioned future state. This is your chance to gain experience in the health and IT sector while contributing to a mission that's committed to health and social equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support software and cloud data warehouse projects
  • Assist junior project manager, business analyst, and other team members
  • Learn Amazon QuickSight, which powers data-driven organizations with unified business intelligence (BI). Apply what you learn to help us train our customers.
  • Learn how to meet varying analytic needs from the same source of truth through modern interactive dashboards, paginated reports, embedded analytics, and natural language queries.
  • Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets
  • Learn and help document Agilian's Agile process documentation
  • Learn and help document Agilian's release management documentation
  • Evaluate the project backlog and work with component owners to create and improve current Epics, User Stories, and tasks in JIRA
  • Peer review test scripts
  • Test data warehouse, portal, and other deliverables as applicable
  • Produce project documentation such as release notes
  • Suggest and contribute to company initiatives and projects
  • Support for Agilian's consulting business in the Medicaid health equity ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
