Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security
while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Systems Program Manager to manage configuration, act as an subject matter expert (SME) on capabilities, and serve as a primary point of contact for their third party cloud-based construction management software.

The Systems Program Manager will need to be detailed, flexible and take strong ownership of a global user base, including system functionality and process implementation. The successful candidate will be obsessed with internal and external system user groups, responsible for scoping and driving implementation of system functionality to the global team. They will be able to work independently to prioritize, craft, and execute deliverable as well as effectively work with partner teams that impact their primary user group.

This role is part of the Data Center Capacity Delivery organization that is diverse, positive, exceptionally talented, driven and responsible for the design, construction and operation of industry leading data center facilities. They will need to excel at managing multiple priorities and learning the pain points of their primary users, being able to execute system implementation effectively across subject matter experts with a broad range of disciplines and/or cultural or regional differences. The ideal candidate operates effectively in an ambiguous environment and drives structure without constraining business objectives. They have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion. Because the person in this role will influence global team members, they will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority while also being able to work with significant autonomy.

The Systems Program Manager will be responsible for leading and driving global initiatives that empower global construction to operate more efficiently and effectively. This includes establishing system mechanisms that enable teams to consistently deliver against defined standards, globally; managing system standards and enhancements for global internal and external users; auditing the team's metrics to identify and address trends or issues; and supporting the introduction of new technology that enables greater efficiencies within the construction management life cycle.

The software product, overall, is intended to provide a single platform for collaboration between AWS teams and external groups to deliver some of the most technical, cost-efficient and fast paced data center construction projects in the world. The Systems Program Manager will be responsible for:
· Managing existing and new system configuration of a third-party construction management software, providing support to global internal and external system users.
· Acting as SME on capabilities of the construction management software.
· Working with global teams to implement systems and process improvements.
· Utilizing team metrics to identify pinch points within current processes and implement solutions to address efficiency issues.
· Working closely and effectively with the third-party software company to manage overall performance, including the identification, communication, documentation, implementation, and resolution of system related issues and enhancements.
· Scoping and driving implementation of feature enhancements or improvements.
· Providing primary point of contact and ownership of ongoing system implementation and functionality.
· Developing, managing and reporting on system policies and compliance.
· Creating and supporting large scale, cross company technical innovations/solutions for complex business problems.
· Guiding and influencing people and processes in pursuit of the teams' goals and objectives
· Driving continuous improvements and documenting best practices post launch.
· Monitoring user adoption post-training / implementation and own user satisfaction.
