Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to process applications\r
for Maryland grocers to become authorized WIC vendors. This position will\r
review applications for completeness, verify ownership and compliance with\r
other federal programs. This position will also perform onsite reviews and\r
approve or deny authorization based on findings. This position is also\r
responsible for routine monitoring activities and assisting with compliance\r
investigations to ensure vendors are complying with required vendor practices\r
contained in State and Federal regulations. This position is also responsible\r
for resolving participant and vendor complaints, fraud reports, and\r
transactional issues. This position requires travel throughout the\r
State of Maryland, which includes high-crime urban areas. The applicant must\r
possess a valid Maryland State driver's license and be willing to travel.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:���Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r
Experience: Two years of administrative staff or professional work. \r
Notes:\r
1. Candidates may substitute 30�credit hours from an accredited college or university for�one�year of the required experience.\r
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree�from a college or university for the required experience.\r
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included�regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required�experience. \r

2. Experience drafting policies and procedures.\r

3. Experience in fraud detection.\r

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r
