This position will be responsible for reconciliations, payment posting, and requesting refunds. This candidate must have healthcare experience including understanding of medical terminology for billing and coding: EOB's, ICD-10 and CPT Codes. Responsibilities
  • Maintain and complete posting, reconciliations and closing of daily payment posting
  • Reconcile all payments
  • Post insurance receipts along with associated charge/insurance adjustments accurately
  • Run receipt summary reports to audit entered transactions before closing the day
  • Manage remittance work queues and all other assigned by manager
  • Maintain Clearing Accounts on a regular basis
  • Reconcile Clinic Receipts from previous day
  • Review and research all credit balances
  • Resolve Insurance credits following the most appropriate payer process
  • Follow prescribed procedures to request refunds
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork for insurance refunds and attach to the request
  • Request refunds in Epic for self-pay credits
