The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for
completion of work.

  • Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of
assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

  • Evaluates work performance of subordinates and makes recommendations for outstanding performance
recognition or disciplinary action.

  • Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • Interviews candidates for positions in the unit; recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such
positions.

Telework Eligible Positions:

QualificationsFederal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IR-04: To be minimally qualified for this position, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service that demonstrates the required managerial skills and technical competence required to perform the job.

To be qualifying for this position your experience must include:

Experience that demonstrated management/leadership experience such as applying management techniques, methods, theories, principles, or labor relations concepts for the accomplishment of all program objectives with combined technical and administrative oversight.

This experience may have been gained through work experience as a project/program manager, team lead or project/program lead, technical advisor, or senior specialist/analyst that included managing resources, providing support to managers, mentoring team members, providing day to day guidance training and/or oversight of peers or others.

Experience applying regulations, other official guidance, and principles, including the latest procedures and techniques sufficient to oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the technical aspects of programs specific to the position being filled.

Experience applying communicative techniques to effectively and diplomatically interact with internal and external customers.

Additional experience includes, leading project assignments that required a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, sufficient to accomplish implementation of organization-wide technology application and/or software projects or studies using Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) framework.

Experience meeting with internal and external business stakeholders, senior management, and executives to define goals and objectives of project. Experience serving as the resident expert relating to all aspects of project planning, execution, and implementation.

Experience with oral and written communication to write reports and present findings and recommendations to internal and external business stakeholders, senior management, and executives.

Experience working with Information Technology (IT) cybersecurity to ensure compliance with IT laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures.

The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the minimum locality pay up to maximum locality pay for all duty locations listed.

The range will be adjusted for selected duty location. General Schedule locality pay tables may be found under Salaries & Wages.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Tour of Duty:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.

In the event that a building is closed due to rent management, new hires may be placed in a local commuting location.
