Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to visually impaired individuals interested in participating in our Business Enterprise Program.
  • Offer support throughout the business ownership process, from initial assessment to business planning, setup, and ongoing management.
  • Ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Facilitate program enrollment, licensing, and certification processes for qualified participants.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources to equip blind entrepreneurs with essential business skills and knowledge.
  • Assist blind entrepreneurs in developing comprehensive business plans, including market research, financial projections, and operational strategies.
  • Coordinate resources, equipment, and facilities necessary for clients to establish and operate successful businesses.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding, grants, and other resources to support program initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of enterprise programs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, milestones, and deliverables for future reference and analysis.
  • Cultivate relationships with program staff, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to promote program opportunities and initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience or completion of an apprenticeship/internship that sufficiently supplied experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position.
