We are looking for a New Business Development to join our Fuel & Lubricants team in Florham Park, NJ.

As an innovative partner, BASF's Performance Chemicals division offers chemicals for various customer industries, such as plastics, automotive, refining, lubricants, oilfield and mining. Our highly qualified and experienced team with outstanding market knowledge as well as our innovation platform and application know-how ensure our technological competence to provide excellent solutions to our customers.

In this role, you will define and implement strategies to develop our North American aftermarket business for coolants and brake fluids. You will not only develop go-market approaches but also actively scout for customers and manage the growing account basis as regional account manager.

  • Driving marketing concepts for our premium engine coolants and brake fluids for the automotive and industrials aftermarket, you will grow profitably across Market segments and Channels.
  • Exploring value chains, customer segments and competitive landscape to and translating into actions for products, pricing, communication and channels.
  • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will drive business development in alignment with many stakeholders, including regional marketing, global and technical experts and regional sales.
  • Developing tailored communication measures for different aftermarket sub segments, integrated in global communication activities. You will work with the sales organization including Regional and Global Key Accounts to develop and promote offerings to the automotive and industrial aftermarket.
  • Your effective communication and interpersonal skills will serve you well both for internal stakeholder management as well as externally with customers.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a technical field. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Have experience in the Automotive Industry, Fuels & Lubricants, or specialty chemicals.
  • Possess 3 - 5 years of experience in new business development, sales and marketing.
