The health care system needs to evolve even further than it has, and it must do so at a lightning-fast pace. As a Senior Business Analyst within our Coordination of Benefits team, you will support the growth of our markets, membership, and COB opportunity through analysis and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Introduce prepay and post-pay analytics and processes to C&S and E&I Membership
  • Work with market leads to grow C&S and E&I membership
  • Lead in-house process design for premium adjustments (MSP, ESRD, Hospice) for existing M&R initiatives
  • Work with internal / external partners (claims, vendors, analytics, etc.) to align best practices
  • Analyze data sets and use Structured Problem-Solving techniques to root cause and solution
  • Create process design, documentation, and flow charts
  • Provide direction and training to representatives on process expectations
  • Production file preparation
  • Assist in design and testing of capability tools (database)

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Coordination of Benefits experience
  • 2+ years ideation, process design and formal analysis
  • Proven knowledge of NAIC and Medicare guidelines
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Community and State (C&S) experience
  • 5+ years Employer and Individual (E&I) experience
  • 5+ years Medicare and Retirement (M&R) experience
  • Proven knowledge and experience of OCSP, CSP, or Sierra Facets platform
  • Proven knowledge of Post Pay and Prepay claims practice

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
