Summary

As a Program Manager (Enterprise Risk Manager) at the GS , you will be part of the agency's Planning, Performance, and Evaluation Group. If selected, you will serve as OPM's risk management expert and a change agent with a strategic focus on enhancing the agency's decision-making processes. You will lead the identification, analysis, prioritization, response planning and monitoring of the major risks to achieving OPM's strategic goals and objectives.



Duties
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of the agency's risk profile in accordance with the requirements of OMB Circular A-123 and best practices for enterprise risk management.
  • Investigate reports of risks; gather risk information from employees, customers, and other stakeholders via interviews, surveys, and workshops; and facilitate the flow of risk information to agency decision-makers.
  • Provide constructive challenge to agency decision-makers on risk-related issues.
  • Provide analysis of major risks using a variety of tools, such as root-cause analysis, scenario analysis, risk-driver analysis, and key risk indicators, and provide possible responses.
  • Lead the agency's Risk Management Council meetings and advise the Chief Management Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other top agency executives on risk.
  • Develop risk dashboards or reports to track the and report progress toward risk mitigation to agency leaders.
  • Align the agency's enterprise risk management function to the agency's strategic plan, and integrate it with the agency's organizational performance management function and budget processes.
