Fire TV is how millions of people watch, share, and enjoy TV every day.

We are looking for talented engineering professionals to help Fire TV become the global leader in entertainment with the best experience for customers and partners and the broadest selection of customer experiences, content and services.

The right candidate will possess the ability to effectively drive, influence and negotiate with data. He/she will have demonstrated experience leading large projects with cross-functional teams having shared goals not necessarily direct authority. Experience with machine learning is highly desired but not mandatory since the role works closely with Applied Science Managers.

You and your team will have end to end ownership - all the way from defining the strategy to measuring metrics to monitoring day to day progress of these programs or Products.

You should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and shouldn't be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities.

As a team leader you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will lead and develop a team of Program and Technical Program Managers
  • You will manage business requirements, design, performance expectations and goals with all stakeholder teams.
  • You will partner with management to define strategy and build road maps for the programs you and your direct reports own.
  • You will be responsible for the overall coordination, quality and productivity and will be the primary point of contact for world-wide stakeholders of programs and products that you run.
  • Throughout, you will internalize Amazon's Leadership Principles, and live those into everyday practices to guide your programs to success.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field

  • 10+ years of relevant program management experience
  • 3+ years of relevant people management experience
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software Agile development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
