Job Description:

THE ROLE:

The Senior Audit Manager at Corporate Audit Services (CAS) plays a crucial role in supporting the Audit Director for Corporate Functions, Regulatory Reporting, and SOX Administration. This position is responsible for providing independent assurance and advisory services to assess and enhance the risk management, control, and governance processes within U.S. Bancorp and its affiliates. The key focus areas include overseeing audit plans, managing audit teams, and ensuring the effectiveness of risk management processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of the Annual Audit Plan for Corporate Functions and coordination of strategic and reputation risk coverage.
  • Oversight of two audit teams, including recruitment, hiring, and development of team members.
  • Supervision of audit engagements to ensure quality and timely delivery of work.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to provide comprehensive reporting and oversight on outstanding issues.
  • Building relationships with internal and external partners, industry peers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Integration with other internal audit teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of business risks.
  • Management of team workload to support high-risk areas when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by Audit Director/Senior Audit Director.

Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in internal auditing, risk management, and managerial roles
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or relevant advanced degrees
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of internal controls, risk frameworks, and financial industry regulations
