Audit Manager Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned Audit Manager to lead and manage our internal audit operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Audit Manager

  • Formulate and execute annual audit strategies based on risk evaluations, organizational goals, and compliance mandates.
  • Create audit frameworks and methodologies to assess internal controls, operational processes, and adherence to regulations.
  • Direct and conduct internal audits across diverse departments and operational areas.
  • Perform fieldwork, which includes interviews, testing, and analysis to evaluate the efficiency of internal controls and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Draft and deliver audit reports to upper management and the audit committee, emphasizing findings, suggestions, and action plans.
  • Ensure that reports are precise, clear, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee and assess compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks within the organization.
  • Supervise and mentor audit personnel, including establishing objectives, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating professional growth.
  • Collaborate with management to devise and implement enhancements to internal controls, processes, and systems.

Qualifications for the Audit Manager Position

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience, demonstrating a successful history in managing audits and leading audit teams.
  • Familiarity with the maritime or transportation sector is beneficial.
  • Proficient computer skills and a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications; experience with Nautical Systems is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, gather and analyze data, and utilize intuition and experience to enhance data interpretation.
