This IT Specialist position is located Information Technology (IT)/Applications Development Division (ADD)/Administration & Customer Relationship Branch, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS).


Duties include but are not limited to:
Advises management on the operational effectiveness and efficiency of assigned program(s). Provides recommendations to address areas of concern; oversees implementation of fixes and assesses effectiveness of solutions. Advises management on unusual or complex operational issues.
Provides recommendations for, and coordinates the implementation of, strategic programs and operations; monitors execution to ensure success.

Lead team to execute, as well as personally perform, duties related to that of a contracting officer representative (COR).

Administer and track contract performance and report out on contract wellness.
Applies advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and viability of organizational programs. Adapts analytical methods and techniques to address specific issues, and develops new approaches to resolve complex productivity problems. Work is accepted by the supervisor as technically authoritative and accurate.

As subject matter expert, participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with administrative and technical personnel, other subject matter experts, and other agency officials.

Interactions are to educate and advise; share information; investigate facts; present conclusions and recommendations; obtain concurrence on alternate courses of action; and to resolve problems collaboratively.
