R&D/Engineering Solutions Business Development Leader, Auto

AWS Automotive & Manufacturing GTM and Solutions team is responsible for driving adoption and growth of leading services and solution innovations serving large, medium, and small firms throughout the global industry. The Product Engineering & Development (PE&D) GTM and Solutions team works with customers to define needed solutions to meet their most critical business and digital transformation challenges, then engages with architects, partners, services, and development teams to deliver them. The team collaborates with various content and GTM teams to build, enable, and drive the value proposition to the field teams and industrial market segments we serve.

You will play a critical role as a manager of the Product Engineering and Development workload solution GTM strategy and execution across the Automotive and Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to shape the solution portfolio and GTM strategy to accelerate migrations, modernization, and digital transformations across the industry.

Key job responsibilities

• Work on a collaborative teams with industry and technical solution specialists to identify and prioritize Product Engineering and Development use cases for Automotive and Manufacturing industries.

• Own the solution response portfolio and lifecycle management (AWS solutions, partner solutions, services, guidance and partners) for PE&D workloads.

• Work with Partner teams to identify strategic partners for PE&D delivery, develop and execute an industry-specific channel strategy

• Build and test end-to-end programmatic GTM plans in market by piloting industry targeted sales plays, measuring impact and scale into 2025

• Provide feedback loop on continuous improvement of PE&D relevant solutions.

About the team

Our team works backwards from the customer to identify the solutions that are needed to scale. We work with internal teams and partners to develop solutions to solve some of our customers biggest areas of business where they can improve cost, speed, and innovate. We are also focused to scaling our solutions to our field sales teams and provide direct support to customers to continue to identify areas that AWS should further innovate.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of defining, developing, product managing product engineering related applications, infrastructure, technology, etc. This can include experience in pre-sales and/or solutions consultant roles in product engineering and development related solutions and business processes
• 5+ years of professional or military experience in product engineering, development, CAD/CAM/CAE, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or related business processes
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field of engineering, computer science, etc.
• 5+ years experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• 5+ years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• Masters degree in technical/engineering discipline
• Experience in executive-level business process consulting in product engineering and development related business processes
• Experience in GTM campaigns regarding product engineering and development related solutions and technologies
• Experience in transformational technology areas of high-performance computation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, spatial/3D experiences, data strategies, and digital threads.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
