Job/Role Description:

Under the guidance of a Manager, Director, or Senior Developer, this role is responsible for executing a thorough program to extract and analyze data using programming languages, then effectively communicate insights derived from this data to various stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. This position is pivotal in generating reports, developing analytical tools, and providing consultative support as required. Our stakeholders include healthcare professionals, administrative leaders, and regulatory bodies, among others. The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst is expected to foster a data-driven culture within the organization, collaborating across departments to gather data, create reports, develop automated solutions, and deliver actionable insights to all stakeholders. The candidate must be adept at presenting complex information to diverse audiences, including executives and clinical staff. Independently, the analyst will develop comprehensive data assets, ad-hoc reports, and enhance reporting processes to align with strategic objectives and business initiatives. The role demands minimal supervision, effective deadline management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs. The analyst should be proactive in adapting to the evolving needs of stakeholders and consistently demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail. The candidate must manage complex requests, ensuring timely delivery and data integrity.

Required Education/Skill:

The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating reports, metrics, tools, data models, and dashboards, while also documenting process flows and fulfilling data requests from various service lines. Experience in Value-Based Care IT & Analytics is essential, as is the ability to interface with healthcare leaders to understand how data solutions can drive positive outcomes. The analyst will gather detailed requirements, document them in the central intake process, and identify existing solutions or develop new ones as necessary. Familiarity with tools for pulling data from internal and external systems is required. Experience in Revenue Cycle Analytics, including charge, payments, and claims data, is also essential.

A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Three to four (3-4) years of experience in a healthcare or business environment.
  • Expertise in advanced Excel, SQL, report generation, tool development, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with relational databases, data visualizations, and electronic medical record (EMR) report development.
  • Familiarity with code repositories and version control systems.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
