Overview

Criteo is looking for a Regional Financial Controller (RFC) for the Americas region to join our controllership team. Reporting directly to Global Corporate Controller, you will be in charge of the controlling and supervision of multiple entities, collaboration with the corporate teams and transversal responsibilities on cross team projects.

What You'll Do

You'll be managing a team analysts and accountants, controlling and reviewing the financial information and ensuring statutory, tax and legal compliance of the relevant legal entities. You will be the first point of contact for all queries coming from the regional stakeholders in relation to finance, legal and tax aspects, and will work hand-to-hand with the Regional FP&A Partners, Controllership team and Regional Strategic & Commercial Finance Director when required to provide a comprehensive response from Finance within pre-agreed time frames and service levels.

The main activities include:

  • Accounting and Controlling
    • Monthly/Quarterly review and analysis of financial statements under US GAAP (and Local GAAP when applicable)
    • Deep dive into the regional financials on an on-going basis to ensure they're materially correct and free from error
    • Lead pre-close meetings to ensure events specific to the region are proactively identified and assessed
    • In collaboration with FSS, review Intercompany transactions and monitor its impacts for Taxation
    • Ensure SOX Controls are performed timely and accurately
    • Regular team work with the Finance Shared Services ("FSS", located in Paris & Barcelona), consolidation, tax and legal teams,
    • Responsible for preparing the statutory financial statements and presenting them to Boards of Directors
    • Organization of the statutory annual financial statements audits,
    • Coordination with local tax advisors, local auditors and lawyer firms
  • Review billing and revenue recognition
    • In collaboration with Order to Cash Team, Regional Managing Directors, FP&A and Deal Desk make sure that all Revenues and costs are properly booked and variances well explained
    • Keep track of non standard deals
    • Lead or contribute to finance/legal/tax related projects to support environment evolution and company's evolution and growth (organic or acquisition).
  • Tax, legal compliance
    • Review and sign-off the calculation of quarterly income taxes prepared by external advisors and GL Tax team, for all Legal entities in the Region,
    • Oversee, review and sign off the Tax filing process for Income Tax Returns prepared by external advisors, for all Legal entities in the Region,
    • Coordination with local tax advisors and lawyer firms for any Tax related matters
    • Assistance to the Tax audits (if any): prepare answers re. tax filing questions/CIT computations questions, always in coordination with external providers and the Central tax team
    • Understand Criteo Transfer Pricing policies and work collaborative with Corporate Tax to mitigate risks
    • Facilitate quarterly meetings to discuss about tax matters including new legislations with Corp Tax and external advisors
  • Projects and Project Management
    • Lead or contribute to finance/legal/tax/PMO related projects to support environment evolution and company's evolution and growth (organic or acquisition).

Who You Are

  • Master in Accounting and Finance is required (CPA or equivalent is a plus)
  • At least 8 years of experience in Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred) -experience in the New Technology and Digital Marketing industries is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US Tax Provisions and Tax Returns is a must
  • Strong excel and power point skills
  • SAP and BFC is a strong plus
  • Must be well organized and analytical. Good team player. Self-driven and curious
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Willing to work in a fast moving, complex international environment.
  • Prior Management experience is a plus

Certain roles at Criteo are eligible for additional rewards, including quarterly or annual bonus and restricted stock units.
