Position Overview

Impact Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers through the creation of visual concepts, and designs to communicate ideas that will be used in the training process, including guides and manuals, posters, presentations, digital tools, internal communications, and other creative initiatives. Ability to work independently with a proactive, results driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the Director of Instructional Design, Senior Manager of Instructional Design – Creative, other members of the Instructional Design team and subject matter experts to gain knowledge of TXRH procedures and creative standards and to identify and develop creative concepts and design for assigned projects and programsUtilizing design/publishing programs, create and produce training tools for print, presentations, or on screen viewing that convey the message, are easy to understand, fun, engaging, and coincide with company culture for all Texas Roadhouse brandsMeet with project teams and subject matter experts to establish timelines for each assigned project, present ideas and layouts, gain directional approval to produce impactful materialsApply expertise to provide the highest level of prepress art file to ensure proper reproductionReview/edit proofs and work with team leaders, peers, and vendors to ensure accuracy and quality of all produced materialsAssist in photo shoots, videography, content development, editing sessions, and other creative related production activitiesEstablish an understanding of restaurant needs, build and maintain relationships with operators, team members, and SMEs to provide stellar service and departmental support with every contact and or specific project as needed including design, messaging, and overall branding of training materialsIn accordance with established company and department approved systems, maintain a regimen of tracking project status, saving documents, backing up files and hard drives as well as keeping a tight and accurate filing system of all electronic documents for safe storage and quick, easy retrieval Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Computer/Graphic Design
Experience: Level I: Minimum 1 year agency or in-house creative department experienceExperience applying typography, color theory, and layout to produce quality visual designs.Assist other members of design team in concept, design and production of larger, multi-faceted projectsPhotography experience preferred.Texas Roadhouse operations experience is beneficial Level II: Minimum 4 years agency or in-house creative department experience.Produces quality visual designs through solid knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles.May serve as trainer and/or mentor to other designersMay act as a project lead on larger, multi-faceted projectsPhotography experience preferred.Texas Roadhouse operations experience is beneficial Level III: Minimum 6 years agency or in-house creative department experience.Produces quality visual designs through comprehensive knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles.Serves as a trainer and/or mentor to other designersMay act as a lead or first-level supervisorMay review and approve designsCopyedit, review proofs and work with Senior Manager of Instructional Design, Content Editors, SMEs, peers and vendors to ensure 100% accuracy and quality of all produced materialsPhotography experience preferred.Texas Roadhouse operations experience is beneficial Computer Skills: Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop)Microsoft Office Other Skills: CreativityPhotographyStrong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and adjust to frequently changing prioritiesAbility to understand and respond to a diverse populationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to excellence and high standardsEnglish/Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus This job description includes essential functions and basic duties and is intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
