Job Description

Recruitment:

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled candidates for various roles within the construction industry.Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.Conduct interviews, screen candidates, and make hiring recommendations based on qualifications and fit.Utilize recruitment platforms, job boards, social media, and other channels to source candidates.

Performance Management:Implement performance management systems to track employee performance, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement.Develop and administer performance appraisal processes to ensure fair and objective evaluations.Coach managers on performance management best practices, including goal setting and performance reviews.Address performance issues promptly and fairly, following company policies and procedures.

Employee Engagement:Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture.Plan and organize employee events, team-building activities, and recognition programs.Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with department heads to address employee concerns and promote open communication.

HR Administration:Oversee HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and record-keeping.Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including safety standards in the construction industry.Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.Handle employee relations issues and mediate conflicts when necessary.

Training and Development:Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.Coordinate with external training providers or develop in-house training resources as needed.Track training completion and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.10+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement.Experience working in the construction industry.Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, especially in the context of the construction industry.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Proven ability to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
