Revenue Integrity Specialist

As our Revenue Integrity specialist, you will be responsible for key operational functions to include charge capture and charge reconciliation. Every day you will provide day-to-day charge review/reporting, accuracy, completeness, and corrects own errors. To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated ownership of charging, reconciliation, and work queue management as it pertains to the identification and resolution of a health system.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews department clinical documentation from multiple sources and enters hospital charges accurately, timely, and in accordance with policies/guidelines, into EPIC for multiple hospitals.
  • Learns and demonstrates understanding of CMS Medicare billing rules and regulations related to: Emergency Dept. Level charges, Observation hourly charges, outpatient intravenous infusion administration charges, Emergency Dept. procedure charges, HIPAA, and Fraud and Abuse.
  • Performs charge reconciliation on accounts; checks charges for accuracy and completeness, corrects own errors.
  • Meet productivity and quality goals/standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' clinical or health care work experience
  • Experience with Medical Terminology
  • Interest in data, data analysis, and data entry

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $ $23.45 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
