Description

Great opportunity available to work with a Neurologist in our Golden Valley location whose practice is focused on Multiple Sclerosis. Primary responsibilities will be to room patients, obtain pertinent medical data and enter information into the Clinic's electronic health record. May also assist physician in the exam room and process paperwork on behalf of patients as well as complete chart review/preparation. The Medical Assistant may also assist this physician's Clinical Research Coordinator with some research activities. This is a great opportunity for a college graduate who is looking for some experience during a "gap year" prior to going to medical school or to physician assistant program



Position Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess the following:

  • Medical Assistant diploma (certification or registration strongly preferred) OR bachelor's degree with intention to attend medical or physician assistant school
  • One to three years previous medical office experience required; previous experience as a medical scribe desirable
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency with electronic health record and MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment

Founded in 1955, the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology is well known for the expertise we provide to patients who suffer from neurological diseases and disorders, including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Epilepsy, ALS, sleep disorders, stroke, headache and neck pain, and many others.
