Job Summary

**Job Title:** Bus Attendant

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Location:** Transportation Department

**Job Description:**

  • Assist Bus Drivers in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transportation to and from school sites and on special trips.
  • Monitor student activity and provide assistance with mobility needs.
  • Support the development of a safe and inclusive transportation environment.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist with the supervision of students during bus rides.
  • Provide support with student mobility needs, including wheelchair assistance.
  • Collaborate with Bus Drivers to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with special needs children desired.
  • May require a valid driver's license, first aid, and CPR certificates.

**Benefits:**

  • Medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day.
  • Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-6 hours/day.
