We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Accounting & Financial Analysis to join our team. This is a hybrid accounting and financial planning and analysis role. The Manager, Accounting & Financial Analysis will oversee the Company's accounting close and reporting cycle and also play an integral role in driving business growth and profitability by providing exceptional financial analysis; involved in several aspects of financial planning and analysis including operational reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting business leaders and operational teams in planning and financial analysis efforts.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Review and maintain balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and other internal and external financial reports.
  • Respond to queries from other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reports, and related topics.
  • Manage the annual external audit, including preparation of audit workpapers, financial disclosures, and communications with the auditors on sampled items.
  • Contribute to the development of our new accounting system and support the continuous improvement of processes to maximize accuracy and efficiency for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed.

Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of business and strategic initiatives through frequent business conversations with functional teams.
  • Accountable for managing and keeping forecast models current that reflects upcoming events in order to meet monthly reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders on expense budget through providing financial guidance and support on budget processes and policies to drive key decision making, and consolidating inputs in a bottom-up approach.
  • Assist in market and opportunity analyses to help guide company growth initiatives.
  • Manage operating metrics reports that help business unit leaders and executives understand business performance.
  • Support with preparation of internal reporting and board reporting and development of sophisticated financial models.
  • Identify key areas to improve both systems and processes that benefit the FP&A organization as well as the Company's Strategic Goals.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis support as needed, including assisting leadership in developing financial business cases to support decision making.

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA Required.
  • 5-10 years of experience including public accounting.
    • Big 4 experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills combined with business and financial acumen.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and financial accounting systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, ability to analyze financial statements and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts.

Additional Information:

MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $140,000 USD. Please note that actual compensations for all roles may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, relevant work experience, professional achievements/qualifications, skill level, business need, location and will be finalized at the time of offer.
