As we expand our portfolio, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Construction to join our leadership team and drive the successful execution of our construction projects.

Position Summary: The Vice President of Construction will provide strategic direction and oversight for all major construction projects across Unrivaled Sports' portfolio of companies. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The VP of Construction will also play a critical role in project development and design, offering recommendations that align with the company's long-term growth and new business opportunities. Furthermore, this role will oversee the facilities maintenance and repairs departments across the Company to ensure cohesiveness and efficiency. While this is a strategic leadership position, the ideal candidate should also be willing to get into the weeds of construction management initially, as the department is currently small.

Key Responsibilities:Construction
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the construction department, ensuring alignment with Unrivaled Sports' overall business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify, develop and implement construction projects/investments that support long-term growth and expansion initiatives.
  • Evaluate project development and design proposals, providing expert recommendations to optimize project outcomes and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Assess internal resources, determine additional hiring needs, and exercise fiscal responsibility to manage overhead against project needs.
  • Manage and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including budget tracking, schedule adherence, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance construction processes and outcomes.
Facilities & Maintenance Mgmt

· Provide strategic direction and support for facilities management and maintenance of properties and sports complexes.· Lead the facilities management function as a center of excellence, ensuring best practices in maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency.· Develop and implement maintenance strategies that ensure the longevity and optimal performance of facilities and equipment.· Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure facilities meet the needs of the business and comply with regulatory requirements.· Focus on continuous improvement and innovation in the function exploring new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance processes and outcomes.· Enable knowledge sharing across entities and properties.· Establishes metrics and benchmarks to measure performance, track progress, and demonstrate the value of initiatives undertaken within the CoE's focus area.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
  • Experience in facilities management.
  • Familiarity with natural and synthetic turf installation and maintenance preferred.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, project development, and design review.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to assess internal resources and determine additional hiring needs while managing overhead against project needs.
