The Vaccines Contracting Director (VCD) is responsible for leading Retail and relevant HQ teams to support effective and compliant pricing and contracting discussions with Key Retail Accounts in support of the Pfizer vaccine portfolio. The VCD is expected to effectively and compliantly engage appropriate executive and administrative customers in Key Retail Accounts-and will be the primary owner of negotiations with economic decision makers with respect to pricing and contracting. Primary responsibilities include negotiating with the customer and facilitating the communication and alignment with key retail and HQ functions (Retail Trade Directors, Marketing, ,Legal, Contracting, USMA) to support national retail contracts within this space.

In addition to the customer facing responsibility, the VCD will work closely in partnership with Trade Account Directors (TADs_ to develop strategies on specific national account opportunities, including leading the effective pull-through efforts in collaboration with other customer-facing field functions. The VCD will have a broad view of our Vaccines opportunities and challenges within assigned TAD accounts and will make strategic decisions (in alignment with Vaccines Leadership) related to contracting.

Key Accounts include, but are not limited to national retailers and select regional buying groups.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of prior sales management and vaccines account management experience required Demonstrated ability to successfully engage executive/administrative level personnel at large accounts Ability to deliver complex pricing/value messages to organized provider accounts in a fully compliant fashion Demonstrated financial/business acumen, strategic thinking, leading without authority and project management Demonstrated strong problem-solving and comfort managing complex issues/obstacles Experience using data and all available information to prioritize business opportunities Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively and gaining alignment with colleagues across different parts of the organization (including field and HQ), and leading (formally or informally) cross-functional teams Functional/Technical Skills and proficiency in Excel for analyzing and interpreting data

Contracting experience and advanced negotiation experience Experience with vaccine or buy and bill products

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the time based on business requirements, to include customer meetings and internal Pfizer meetings

Work Location Assignment: Remote - Field Based

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269, In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
