POSITION DUTIES

The State Aid Auditor Supervisor coordinates\r
and supervises the activity and performance of the staff auditors assigned to\r
perform financial and compliance audits of State Aid to Education program funds\r
provided to local education agencies (LEAs).\r
�\r
Duties include:\r
\r
\r
Designs\r
and develops auditing programs for LEAs.\r
Coordinates,\r
develops and supervises auditing programs and reviews the staff auditors'\r
working papers.\r
Ensures\r
that audit reports are issued timely to auditees.\r
Coordinates\r
preparation of the annual Status Report summarizing the results of audits\r
performed.\r
Develops\r
and revises audit tools and procedures.\r
\r
\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:�� A\r
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university or a\r
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 30 credit hours\r
in Accounting and related courses, including or supplemented by 3 credit hours\r
in auditing.\r
�\r
Experience: Four years of experience performing financial and\r
compliance audits of a State agency, grantee, business or other entity.\r
�\r

1. Applicants who had met the\r
requirements for admission to the CPA examination prior to July 1, 1974, will\r
be considered to have met the educational requirement.\r
�\r
2. Candidates may substitute the\r
possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified\r
Internal Auditor or a Master's degree in accounting from an accredited college\r
or university for one year of the required experience.\r
�\r
3. Applicants may substitute one\r
year of professional accounting experience for one year of auditing experience\r
only.\r
�\r
4. Candidates may substitute U.S.\r
Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Internal\r
Review classifications or Auditing specialty codes in the Financial or Auditing\r
fields of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r
