Main Purpose of Job

The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for an Administrative Aide to assist in the administration of the Health Education and Advocacy Unit in the Consumer Protection Division.�\r
\r
\r

POSITION DUTIES

Job responsibilities and duties include:�\r
\r
\r

• Intake of written, oral and electronic correspondence\r

• Scan communications into the unit's database�\r

• Data entry of all forms of consumer contact�\r

• Oral and written communication with consumers, healthcare providers insurers, and others�\r

• Closing case files�\r

• Assist with office reception duties�\r

• Provide administrative support to the unit's directors, staff and volunteers\r

• Assist with Public Information Act responses\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r

Experience: Four years of administrative experience.\r
\r
\r
The following may be substituted for the minimum qualifications:\r
\r
\r
1. An associate degree with at least two years of administrative experience;\r
2. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with volunteer or work experience in an office setting\r
\r
\r
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and proficiency using MS Office Suite.�\r
\r
\r

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.\r

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:\r
\r
\r
Experience using a database program, preferably a customer management database program.\r
Experience in a health insurance or medical practice setting.\r
