Overview and Responsibilities


Paramount is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team This position is responsible for all accounting functions related to the Home Entertainment business, which includes Licensing and supporting Home Entertainment Marketing and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

Include:

  • Review and analyze license agreements (interpret contractual terms; establish revenue recognition requirements; establish billing and payment terms)
  • Investigate and communicate with Licensees to resolve cash or billing discrepancies
  • Build input statement templates to ingest and process through License Maestro (LiMa)
  • Maintenance of royalty statements trackers and summary log
  • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations
  • Capture pertinent system data and prepare territory marketing and sales accruals, reconciliations, and related journal entries
  • Work with assigned territories to assist in the SAP WBS management which control marketing budgets
  • Use SAP system proficiency to analyze data from an accounting perspective (GRIR, Commitments, Invoicing, etc.)
  • Assist with internal/external audit requests
  • Assist with month end close activities and ad-hoc analysis
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred
  • 4 years or more related experience
Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience in month end close and reporting
  • Advance proficiency MS Office suite programs such as Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines
  • SAP Financial Experience preferred

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
