Description:

Duties & Responsibilities


• As a member of the Information Technologies team you will help maintain stability and reliability across the whole stack for IT systems and up to platforms level of stack and not always excluding the upper stack layers for Broadcast IT systems. You need to manage change to ensure maximum customer viewing experience and drive technical strategic evolution to meet the ever changing business requirements.


• Help define specification, integrate and transition technology changes onto the platforms across Corporate IT and Broadcast IT level of support to meet customer requirements, whilst ensuring sup-portability and service availability levels


• Take responsibility for system stability across the different IT environments.


• Take ownership of systems to ensure that the design and workflows are continually adapted to meet ever changing business needs and make the most of technical advances.


• Provide technical advice to stakeholders on the ongoing supportability of equipment and technology refresh requirements for equipment beyond economic repair or end-of-life


• Work with internal and external groups on long-term, in-depth root cause analysis of equipment faults and failures


• Work with your team to continually explore the most effective and efficient way of maintaining and managing all technical systems


• Take ownership of tickets and ensure they are responded to in a timely manner and followed up to resolution


• Use the handovers and communication as well as working closely with the Support engineers to ensure the best fault resolution continuity for the business


• Shift work and flexible hours schema as per the business requirements

Skills & Qualifications


• Good understanding of IT technical principles and core IT basics: Windows, network, Wi-Fi, end user support.


• Strong level of knowledge and awareness of corporate IT systems to provide technical workflow expertise and advice for strategic business and technical requirements.


• A good understanding of Networking including fiber infrastructure and storage systems


• Experience and understanding of file formats and file based workflows


• The ability to build, maintain and develop internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships


• Excellent communication skills to provide technical advice, guidance and expertise on Volant systems to internal user groups as well as Project engineers


• Self-motivated, with a passion for the job, and able to follow tasks through to the end without having to be driven


• Experience of patching, updating, and managing Windows 10, MacOS, IOS, Android, Windows Server


• Major Plus in some of the following:


• Experience with Microsoft AD/DNS/DHCP/Azure AD


• Experience of Azure Endpoint Protection MDM and MAM


• Experience of managing Office 365 E5/AAD-P2/ products


• Experience with managing Office 365 Hybrid tenancy


• Experience of patching, updating, and managing Windows 10, MacOS, IOS, Android, Windows Server


• Experience of managing I.T. security controls ACL's, IAM Roles, Groups, Security Groups (AWS), RBAC (Azure)


• Experience with Citrix VDI and Xenapp management and supporting


• Experience with the following programmatic language and CLI's PowerShell, JSON, Bash, SQL, JSON, Azure Cloud Shell


• Experience of EMC Storage (Metro Cluster), including capacity management and platform scaling


• Experience of virtualization and how it applies in a Hyper-converged platform(specifically VMWARE).

Education & Experience


• IT Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred


• 2 years of IT relevant experience


• IT Certifications in Networking, OS, Linux, Cloud
