The Health Implementation Analyst II will develop, build, and maintain strong customer relationships, including managing expectations, by orchestrating all aspects of an implementation from initiation and launch to transition to ongoing and closure activities. They are viewed as the Health Benefits Implementation lead for the client and are responsible for client satisfaction, domain consulting, requirements creation and an on time and high-quality implementation.

Responsibilities

Implementation Management

  • Builds a strong relationship with the client and interacts with the client contacts on a regular basis.
  • Manages the implementation from beginning to end by leading the cross-functional implementation team, maintaining the project schedule, open items log and facilitating internal and external meetings to keep the project on track.
  • Uses data to proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Leads the external acceptance test process
  • Provides coaching and feedback and identifies learning/experiential opportunities to develop others; develops domain knowledge and facilitates training courses
  • Responsible for successful transition of the client to the ongoing delivery team once live

Requirements

  • Leads technical requirements meetings with client and serves as a Health & Welfare subject matter expert on defining plan provisions for a client's medical, dental, vision, life insurance and/or disability plan, applying best practices, service delivery model, ongoing processing, data conversion, application of client's and Alight Solution's business objectives and requirements
  • Determines if client requirements can be accommodated within the system.
  • Predicts, identifies, and communicates internal and external risks related to plan design and consults client, client team, and client prospects on legislative issues/changes (e.g. impact of Affordable Care Act on benefits administration), compliance issues (e.g. Cobra), best practices, and delivery model
  • Defines and documents detailed technical requirements for the system foundation by reviewing source documents (Statement of Work, existing system documentation) and identifying and extracting relevant technical information. Maintains technical requirements documents by updating changes, tracking open issues, and notifying internal teams of changes.
  • Serves as primary resource to internal team, Shared Services, and supporting services in the translation of technical requirements
  • Participates in analysis discussions to ensure the requirements match the expectations of the client
  • Transitions requirements knowledge by actively participating in requirements hand-off meetings with the various functional teams and acting as a resource for questions during the transition

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Professional designations (CEBS, ASPA, etc.) desired

Competencies, Knowledge & Experience

  • 5-7 years of comparable Health and Welfare work experience in benefits outsourcing industry
  • Proficiency in coaching others (minimum 4-5 years of experience).
  • Expert knowledge of delivery model and best practices.
  • Strong Project Management experience desired
  • Minimum 4 years of client management responsibilities leading multifaceted projects and teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to facilitate effective conversations with internal and external clients
  • The ability to persuade, influence and negotiate (must have a track record of influencing indirect parties to accomplish client objectives)
  • Flexible and adaptable with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $74,000.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $178,600.00/year (for full time employees).
