EHS Intern

As an EHS Intern you will be assisting in the development and deployment of required EHS programs for the new Muskegon chromatography resin production facility. This is a key role to assure the facility starts up with world class safety programs achieving a culture of all accidents and incidents are avoidable, environmental excellence is expected and sustainable operations is required.
What you'll do:- Compile inventories for EHS related programs including confined space entry, site chemical inventory and lifting devices.
- Assist in the development of the site Hazard Communication program, including Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management, chemical labeling, and assist in communication.
- Assist in the development of personal protective equipment hazard assessments.
- Currently enrolled in a college-based program in occupational health and safety or related field, seeking an internship opportunity.
- Ability to work independently once direction is provided.
- Basic understanding and/or use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Standing, walking and sitting for up to 8 hours at a time
- Occasional bending, crouching, and ladder climbing and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Use of a computer to communicate via email, MS Teams, and documents via programs like MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other similar software.
