Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing departmental production activities, meeting internal and external customer requirements, and serving as a key contact and leader within the Newton, North Carolina facility for the production team.

- Actively participate as a strategic member of the Facility management team through the Standard Operating Procedure process to ensure continuous improvement in facets of the business.
- Manage all logistics activities to ensure on time delivery to all internal and external customers.
- Plan, select, design, and develop manufacturing methods and processes through continuous improvement and ZFPS lean manufacturing techniques.
- Direct/Supervise the activities of all exempt personnel and indirect support functions.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to meet common goals.
- Manage the manufacturing and logistics functions within our quality system (ISO, QS, TS, IATF, etc.) company policies and procedures.
- Manage the development of all Associates (Exempt or Nonexempt).
- Monitor, evaluate, and report department's operating results in support of plant's business plan.
- Ensure and support good housekeeping and safety practices.
- Budget manpower, equipment, capital, and resources necessary to meet customer and company requirements and assure adherence to the approved budget.
- Establish department goals with relevant measures. Ensures corrective actions are taken for any applicable non-conformances.
- Communicate to department personnel regarding department and plant activities and issues in accordance with Company Communications Policy.
- Ensure department is compliant to IATF-16949, All ISO, OSHA etc. policies and procedures.
- Other duties as related to this position.
Your Profile as the Production Manager:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of five years supervisory/management experience specifically in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated people management and leadership skills
- Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, SAP desired, etc.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and familiarity with quality standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks
